Tools.

Every carpenter and builder used them.

Hammer.

Saw.

The list goes on.

You in Network marketing have also tools that you use to work your mlm business. And if you don’t use them, then the odds of your mlm business being built is slim.

Let me ask you a question:

What kind of a house could a carpenter build without the proper tools and instruments?

Can you say SHODDY?

That is why a lot of people build shoddy mlm businesses. Because they have never used or gotten away from using the tools that the company provides.

Network Marketing Motivation.

MLM Motivation.

Two very misunderstood concepts. The average network marketer today wants to keep their team motivated and FIRED UP! That is normal, as you always want them to be mentally and psychologically elevated for Success in Network Marketing.

But here is the challenge:

INFERNO Secret

You CANNOT motivate anyone to Success.

They must motivate themselves. We waste so much time, even a lot of mlm trainers that teach motivation, trying to get the team and people pumped up, juiced up, jammed up, onFire and motivated. That may happen in the moment from the excitement, but it quickly fades.

Keeping your team motivated and ignited simply is not going to happen unless you follow the Rules of Reality in MLM Motivation. These rules are based in reality, not hype, and honesty, not empty enthusiasm.

Ok…what are the 5 Rules of Reality in Network Marketing Motivation?

1) You MUST INSPIRE, not just Motivate.

The greek definition for INSPIRE is “breath within.” This means that you must create within the person the “breath” of confidence and energy that they can connect to and embrace.

How?

Modeling.

You must be the role model and guide to show your mlm folks that you are worthy of following, and are a leader. Do what you ask them to do, and do it BIG. Show them that you believe in what you are saying, and you do it daily in MLM.

And through your actions and words, let them “breathe” that Leadership into their hearts, and keep them inspired and wanting to follow you into a greater life of Success in MLM.

2) You MUST Praise, not just Promote.

Praise is the secret weapon to motivating people. Many times, we will promote and recognize the new folks who went up a pin level, and that is important. But praising someone for a valiant effort that may have had little results will motivate many times 10 times more.

Why?

People will always appreciate being appreciated for the effort, not just the result. Motivation must have a foundation of praise and recognition. If you have that foundation and praise and recognize your people for their efforts as well as results, you will find that there will be more pin levels to celebrate.

3) You MUST pour into them what has been ignored about them.

Most people never get much of any encouragement. That is our job in MLM. We must encourage those who not only need it, but all who are on your team. There is nothing more motivating than the right word at the right time. A word of belief, or a word of “I am there with you” can go a long way in keeping people onFIRE.

You must pour into your team Big Thinking, Big Belief, Big Vision, Big Future, Big Life. You must constantly say the 4 most powerful words in network marketing: “I believe in you.”

If you pour into the person what has been ignored most of their life, they will follow you wherever you go, for the rest of their life. They will become ‘addicted” to your encouragement and the promise of hope that they feel from you.

4) You MUST introduce new Success ideas and Bigger Possibilities into their heart.

New ideas that enlarge a person are worth their weight in gold in MLM. Have you ever seen someone get ignited when they had an “aha” moment? You need to become the “aha master” and continually introduce new Success and possibilities into their life. Most jobs and family cultures are limited and shrink most people’s dreams. Enlarge your teams’ dreams.

The Million Dollar question:

WHY ARE YOU THINKING SO SMALL?

Ramp your team up with some Success ideas that will expand and enlarge their brains beyond where they have ever been! Suggest Success books to read and CDs to listen to, and take them to empowerment seminars. Get them around millionaires in your upline if you have any. Get them thinking HUGE.

5) You MUST give personal time and attention to those who deserve it.

Nothing motivates more than personal attention in Network Marketing. Focusing in on one person for a time, maybe over lunch or coffee, and pouring into them individually. Personal encouragement is a great way to give personal attention to folks.

Find out what is meaningful to them. Find out what they TRULY want in life, and listen to why. Discover what is important in life to them and why. Ask what they want to change more than anything about their life. Ask about family, kids, faith, hobbies, interests, etc.

Find out WHO THEY ARE.

Discover what trips their trigger, and get them so excited that they would be working 24/7 to get it. That is giving someone personal time and attention. It is worth it’s weight in gold.

You cannot motivate anyone. But you can inspire and pour into them so they will motivate themselves to create an MLM business that could make them wealthy.

Now THAT is true motivation in MLM and Network Marketing!

HAPPY NEW YEAR in MLM and Network Marketing!

It’s 2006!

And now, the question has to be asked, as it is always asked at this time of the year:

What goals are you planning for 2006?

Or let’s be honest:

Do you even have any goals for 2006 for your MLM business?

So many folks in Network Marketing will have the same year they had last year, and the year before, because they have not set any goals (I call them targets) that will focus and inspire them to greater success in their Network Marketing business.

How about you?

Would you like a little help in setting some targets to shoot for, and help you become excellent at “Target practice” in MLM? These are so simple to do, but yet many do not do it in Network marketing.

Many networkers “wing it” every year, and plan no goals or targets, and end up with a business 10% of what it could have been if they had taken the time to plan for Success in MLM. They “shoot from the hip,” versus “shoot from their greatness” that they should be shooting for. Success is a target that is looked at, aimed for, and shot towards daily. Are you planning on doing that?

Your “Success Targets” or goals, should be 5 things in MLM. And these 5 things should be the driving focus of your goals. If your Success Targets fall into line with these 5 parameters, you will have a tremendous increase in odds of MLM Success in 2006.

Your MLM Success Targets should force you to REACH for Success in 2006! We will take the acrostic REACH and see how your goals should be:

1) R…stands for REALITY BASED.

You Success targets hould be based in reality, not fantasy. They should force you to Reach, nor Wreck. They should force you to pull out your best, not pull a muscle. No matter what the goal, it should be reality focused.

You can make all the goals you want that are nothing more than fantasies, but Success Targets are goals that stretch you, not stress you in MLM.

What do you REALLY want to do with your MLM business this year? Make it reality based, and break the steps down to baby steps, and you will find that your Success Targets are being “bulls-eyed” every time!

2) E…stands for ENERGIZING.

Your MLM Success Targets need to excite you, and energize you. If they do not energize you, how are they going to energize others?

They will not.

Your goals should FIRE YOU UP when you think about them, and take action on them. They should energize you every time you tell others about them, and plan on achieving them in network marketing.

Are you and do they?

Get some Success Targets that will create some energy with you and your prospects. You will be glad you did!

3) A…stands for ACCOUNTABLE.

Simply, your network marketing success goals should be accountable and countable. Can you measure your goals and keep track of where you are with them? If you cannot, you will weaken the chance of achieving them.

Be accountable to at least an upline, or support team member. Create some responsibility to the goals, and their Success. It will accelerate your MLM Success!

4) C…stands for CONSTRUCTIVE TIME LINE.

You need to have a time line that has a beginning and an end. You need to know when the goal is supposed to be started, and completed. And it should be a step by step MLM Success construction process that has a focus of when it needs to be completed.

A time line is the “winner’s line” that we shoot for, and move on past. It is a step along the way to greatness in network marketing.

Do you have a Constructive Time line or a Destructive Dead line?

HUGE difference!

5) H…stands for HAVE IT IN WRITING.

In MLM, you need to put your Success Targets in writing! It crystallizes what is in your mind to what is down on paper.

It MAKES IT REAL.

And when you put something in writing, you will find that it becomes more of a focus for you, and more of a focus for your mlm actions. Writing it down can take a goal from a thought to an action quickly. And it can help create structure and organize your plans and actions so they all work together in your MLM Success pursuit.

These are the 5 parameters that your goals should be for your Network Marketing Success. If you do this, and if you follow the system of breaking it down into baby steps of Success, you will have a mind blowing 2006 in your MLM and Network Marketing business!

Before the Internet era, network marketing used to be the only “home-based business” and the only way to earn some additional income along with working a regular job and working overtime.

The marketing techniques typically taught in the industry consisted of introducing the products to family and friends–the classic way was to invite friends, family, and any acquaintances to hotel meetings, where they heard a presentation about the products and/or the business. After exhausting what was called your “warm market,” you then had to go to your chamber of commerce, your church, networking clubs, malls, and other public places in order to meet new people to whom you could present the business and the products.

Unfortunately, many network marketing companies are still using these lead generation techniques in the present day. Some recommend using what are called “drop cards” and flyers. The network marketer’s daily method of operation consists of leaving these flyers and drop cards in as many public places as possible, from restaurants to phone booths, in grocery shops and around ATM machines.

Rather than working from home, these techniques leave network marketers on the road most of the time, and network marketing, in this case, is not really what one would call a home-based business.

Currently, the Internet allows lead generation via Internet marketing. Internet marketing lead generation may be completely free or low cost. Leads generated through the internet are highly targeted.

Flyers and drop cards are replaced by simple signature lines in emails, discussion groups and forums. Visits to grocery shops are replaced by visits to forums. Expensive non targeted newspapers advertisements are replaced by cheaper highly targeted newsletter and pay per click advertising.

The current technology of phone bridges allows marketers to conduct presentations that connect prospects from all over the country, or even from all over the world. Expensive time consuming hotel meetings are replaced by a joining a phone conference call from the comfort of your home.

Network marketing is truly becoming a home-based business.

If your purpose in looking for a home-based business is to have the chance to spend some quality time with your family, and if you are planning to work part-time in the business, when evaluating a company, you may want to check about their marketing plan. Before checking compensation plans, products, or policies and procedures, it is recommended that you check the quality of the company’s training program; this should be done before joining, not afterwards. You will have to make sure that the network marketing company you are considering will teach you real marketing techniques and internet marketing for lead generation.
